Vertical House on Narrow Site by LOHA Architect

This single family residence built on the extremely limits narrow constraints of the site is a 2.400 sf in the Venice, California, the project developed an alternate approach for maximizing opportunities for light and views. The absence of area precluded reliance on the pre-established response which takes advantage of front and rear yards. Instead, a steel moment frame removes structural restraint from the skin and allows for an unrestricted rhythm of glazing, channel glass and solid panels which flood the interior with selected instances of daylight through out the day.
