This residence is composed of a double-decker culvert box. Located in the center of Hiroshima city. A double-decker culvert box measures 3 x 8 x 18 meters, and inserted 6 x 8 x 5 meters void space. The first floor space containing parking, court and living room ,and form tunnels linking them. Also, the second floor space containing atelier, terrace, court,and private room ,and form tunnels linking them. This building has a regular geometry crossed over diverse scales from plan to details. Abstract structure synthesize diverse activity and the phenomenon of nature – light, wind, etc. Designed by Shinichi Ogawa & Associates.
