The Japanese based Studio Archi Farm designed Japanese minimalism modern house architecture design combined with a Japanese farm house called Sprout House.

The Sprout House located in a residential corner of full-time farmer in the Edo Period Mitomi Nitta. The site is in a natural environment surrounded by fields and woodlands, the house was blessed land. One of the most noticeable feature of the house is the second ground roof that ressemble the lawn. The main living space is overlooking this roof that hides large farming vehicles below it. Another interesting solution is the using of well water that gets pumped up to the roof and acts as a cooling system. Then house could be a place to sleep, “Underground” is the place to work and “ground”.
