MidCentArc has posted a group of photos of a spectacular mid-century house in Los Angeles, California. It appears that it was the personal residence of architect Carl Maston, built in 1947. The house is situated in a wooded canyon, the house is oriented to the south with a view of the city below. Exterior walls are of redwood siding; interiors are cedar plywood in living room and one bedroom, paster in kitchen and baths, gum plywood in other rooms. It’s a fantastic mid-century example, and fans, be forewarned of extreme longing and envy ahead.
