This small one-bedroom into a studio apartment that is the size of a gracious hotel room, it more functional and inviting for the client to use whenever he works in New York. Interior walls separating the bedroom, hallway and kitchen were removed and replaced with partial height walls of millwork. The result defines sleeping from living areas, while illuminating the apartment with natural light and creating the perception of a larger space. Since it is not a primary residence, there was only a need for minimal kitchen, dining and storage areas. These areas are integrated in a simplified form and connected through consistent design details. A small one-bedroom apartment in Gramercy Park designed by Brininstool+Lynch.
