Roth Sheppard Architects designed this 2,400 square foot fast-casual restaurant to elevate the expectations of Colorado’s typical fast-food patron. Clean interior lines, curved forms and a palette based on whites and cool blues provide a crisp, contemporary backdrop to the fresh ingredients used in Modmarket’s salads and flatbreads. Euro style seating explores the boundaries of communal and personal space by extending a continuous 85-foot-long banquette along one wall and into the exterior courtyard. This reinforces the space’s linear quality while visually deemphasizing the boundaries between inside and out. Sleek chairs, bamboo tables, circular skylights and minimal design moves combine to give this space its sleek but environmentally sensitive appeal.
