This two levels modern house architecture design called Free Mans Bay House by Belinda George Architects. The main living space is located on the ground floor, while another room including bedrooms located on second level.
The brief was to create a home which allowed the clients to live alongside their grown children but have their own sense of privacy. Therefore a separate two bedroom ‘flat’ was created over the garage on the street side. The main living areas are on the ground floor opening onto a swimming pool with the main bedroom above capturing the sea and city views. We were interested in using the actions of ‘folding’ and ‘wrapping’ with this house to both enclose and open up spaces.
