This contemporary lighting interior architecture design of the California College of the Arts’ boardroom serves as both a meeting room for the board of trustees and a classroom for students. The boardroom’s focal point is a large, custom-designed conference table with curved sides, allowing direct sightlines in large groups. The space echoes the table’s curving profile, lending it an intimate feel and improving interior acoustics. Honduras Mahogany wall slats, dark cork tabletops and heavy woven carpet subtly evoke a traditional boardroom without limiting the space’s potential for multiple uses.
